Andres played in the Puerto Rico leagues until age 15 where
he excelled as an attacking midfielder for Conquistadores de
Guaynabo FC. In Atlanta, he commenced playing for Cobb
FC winning the South East Championship in the year 2005.
He was a member of Georgia’s Olympic Development
Program (ODP) team from 2005 to 2007 having exceptional
performances against the Mexican youth national team,
England’s Liverpool team, and others. After winning the
Regional State Championship with the Georgia team,
participated in the National Championship winning third
place. He played in NCAA for Georgia Southern and after
freshman year decided to pursue a professional career in the
sport.
He returned to Puerto Rico and commenced playing
internationally for the Puerto Rican National Team. He
scored his first international goal against Bermuda on January
16, 2008 in a 2-0 victory by Puerto Rico. His most recent
international cap was in the 2008 World Cup Qualifiers @
Puerto Rico where they got through the first round with a 1-0
victory over Dominican Republic. He will make his
professional debut with the PR Islanders FC in 2008 with
very high expectations from the organization and the fans. |
