midfielder that also has the ability to play offensively
in both sides of the midfield. In 1995, he started his
professional career with Chilean side Universidad Católica. ‘Jano’ participated
in tours through Holland, France, Spain, and the United
States. In 1998-99, he played for the Jacksonville Cyclones
of the USL First Division. He played his last season in
Chile with Club Deportivo Palestino, where he had outstanding
performances as a starting midfielder and a great free
kick shooter. In 2005, he joined the Islanders and played
24 games, scoring 2 assists. In 2006, Gonzalez moved to
the left back position where he appeared in 17 games, scoring
1 goal and 2 assists. He returns in 2007 for his third
consecutive season with the Islanders. |
